All Things Considered, Rooting For Carson Wentz Is Going To Be Pretty Easy

I could end the blog right here. Title is perfect with that screenshot.

And it's not like anyone is rooting against Wentz. It's just the fact it's Washington Football 101. Another guy. He's not the best QB in the world, but not the worst either. A Band Aid on a bullet hole, so to speak. But at least he's not Josh Johnson or Mark Sanchez or Case Keenum or Dwayne Haskins or Kyle Allen or Garrett Gilbert. At WORST he's a lateral move from the Alex Smith/Ryan Fitzpatrick/Taylor Heinickes of the world, and I think he's better than at least Heinicke.

And who knows, maybe Wentz truly can get back to the MVP-caliber QB he was in 2017. I mean are we forgetting how good he was? I remember watching him carve up our secondary and being like "oh man, this guy is going to give us nightmares for the next decade". And now he will have the opportunity do that against the Eagles for the next decade. Another easy thing to root for- revenge.

Plus, finally Wentz is in a comfortable spot. Away from those toxic franchises like Philly and Indy. Woof. Can you imagine trying to be a QB in one of those towns with all the nonsense that surrounds those organizations and front offices? Being in Washington is probably the change Wentz needs. And organization that does it correctly from the top down.

All jokes aside, obviously he wasn't the sexy pick for QB. And he will more likely than not give me a stroke multiple times during the season. But we have no choice just to root for him. Not for the front office, not for Dan Snyder, but for Wentz. He didn't ask to be traded here so all we can do as fans, us poor, sad fans, is root for the guy.

PS: I still think we should go QB in the first round because obviously Wentz is going to tear both MCLs on the FedEx Field turf. Malik Willis, let's go baby.
