Greg Hardy May Have A Job For Life Being The Sacrificial Lamb Of The UFC

Nothing brings America together quite like watching noted scumbag Greg Hardy get his face smashed in by an opposing UFC heavyweight on live PPV. It’s a fantastic sight to behold. Now Greg Hardy’s contract is up and fans are wondering what’s next. He’s lost his last three fights in a row all by KO/TKO and doesn’t have a win over an active UFC fighter. Totally understandable why some would have the opinion that he’s not UFC caliber and he shouldn’t be resigned. Given his track record it would be hard to come from a rational place and disagree with that sentiment. On the contrary, the fight game is not always the most rational place when it comes to people being “deserving”. Greg Hardy may not be ”deserving” when it comes to an UFC contract but the facts of that matter are he is a big name and whether you hate him or you hate him (see what I did there) people generally enjoy watching him get beat up and that may be enough for him to find himself opening up UFC PPV cards once or twice a year. Even if he’s not in the UFC I could definitely see an organization like the PFL pick him up and see what happens. Greg Hardy is a monster sized athlete but he’s simply just not a UFC level mixed martial artist. Very curious to see how the UFC approaches it.

We discussed that and much more on the newest episode of Spinnin Backfist with my guy Robbie Fox recapping all things from UFC 272. Full show is on YouTube right now. Really appreciate all the positive feedback on the sow so far. Like, subscribe and leave a comment. New episode previewing this weekends fight night will be out Thursday with an interview with Kris Moutinho. God bless.
