10 Years Ago Today Pete Weber Gave Us One Of The Most Iconic Sports Moments Ever

February 26th, 2012 is the day that the sports world changed. Some people see it as the day Pete Weber won his fifth U.S. Open with a strike, but I see it as a day the world was introduced to one of the best sports celebrations ever. It honestly may be one of the most mimicked and repeated celebrations ever. We all know someone who yells "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? I AM!" after they do anything. Hit a beer pong shot, sink a 3 in pickup hoops, finally get a kill in COD, it became the battle cry of a generation.

It honestly may be the perfect sports clip, everything about it is perfect. The call by Gary Thorne, the camera work and cuts, the shot of his wife emotional in the crowd, the camera being close enough to pick up the iconic speech Weber gives to himself. Everything about this frame was magical. How many times has that phrase been yelled? Has to be billions. It truly is an all time sports clip and one of the funnier moments to come out of sports. It was the perfect speech too, not preplanned or anything, just said it off the rip and it was perfect. The moment wasn't too big for Pete, he delivered on the hardwood and on the microphone. We deserve to celebrate today, so whenever you do something good today, just let out a little "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? I AM!", the wife will love it. 10 years ago today, a truly special and iconic moment in history.

Gets me every time.
