Tom Izzo Promises His Team Will 'Shake Air' If The Handshake Line Goes Away, Demonstrates It During Some Asinine Rant

Why the hell do we care about the handshake line so much? The only time we hear about the handshake line is the hockey tradition after a playoff series (not game) and when a fight happens during it. No one would actually give a shit if the handshake line went away. Guess what? You could still dap up people after a game if you want. You just wouldn't have to get in a line like it's U-8 soccer. Also if you think the handshake line teaches anything, you're a fucking moron. Simplest way to put it without lying. It's a handshake, you can go do it yourself or just go to the locker room. It doesn't matter.

This is very on brand for Izzo though. The dude loves screaming about shit like this and even went fully Jimmy Patsos during an interview.

If I were a Michigan State fan I'd prefer Izzo to talk about how he's going to fix stuff because old Sparty lost 4 of 5, including two home games. Doesn't get easier since they end the season at Iowa, vs Purdue, at Michigan, at Ohio State and home to Maryland. Okay, maybe that last game is easy. But other that, good luck.

Just spare me the soapbox rant about handshake lines. You don't care about them. If you did you'd scream about how pros don't do it after every game or how football players don't line up every game. It just doesn't matter. It doesn't do anything. 'Sportsmanship' is lamest argument out there. You can show sportsmanship during a game and reach out after the game yourself.

Kinda cheering for the handshake line to go away now so Izzo has to follow through on this.
