I Hope Rob Manfred Slices Every Golf Shot He Ever Takes After Seeing This Picture

I don't know how you can look at this picture of Rob Manfred and not be completely outraged. During the most crucial time of his tenure as MLB Commissioner he's not in the meetings fighting to get the game back, he's not on the phone with people trying to make a deal, he's in a hallway taking golf swings. GOLF SWINGS! If you're going to do this near a camera at least bring a bat and do some dry swings, make it look like you actually enjoy the game. I hope he slices every ball he ever lines up over for the rest of his life. I hope he gets suck behind a slow foursome every time he golfs for the rest of his life. I hope it rains when he sets a tee time and the forecast said it was going to be sunny. This picture is a perfect microcosm for Manfred and his tenure as commissioner. He gets hammered every single day and he honestly deserves every ounce of it. 

You've got the players on one side of the ballpark trying to save their season, doing everything they can to get the game back. And then you flip to the other side of the field and this jack off is warming up for a par 3. Of course he would get caught by a camera doing this too, nothing he does is a good look. It's almost like at the time when the sport needed him most he was in Lala land wondering how the hot dogs are at the turn. I've never seen someone be a commissioner of a sport and hate the game as much as Manfred does, it truly is remarkable. 

Couple the practice swings with him laughing and joking around at his press conference and I don't understand how anyone could think Manfred is good for the game. He's not worried about the future of baseball, the young talent, the teams, nothing. He's worried about how quick he could submit a BS proposal and get out for 9 before it gets dark. The press conference itself was a disaster, but he doesn't care. He doesn't care that he to caught taking golf swings and then joking about canceling games and taking money out of concession and stadium workers pockets, he doesn't care at all. Would be a real shame if he lost every single golf ball on the course the next time out.
