Tom Thibodeau's Days May Be Numbered With The Knicks After World Wide Wes Reportedly Told James Dolan That Thibs Is A Significant Reason For The Knicks' Struggles This Season

Welp, thanks for the memories Thibs! We'll always have the weird ass 2020-21 season where the Knicks were actually good instead of an utter dumpster fire and led to moments like this when fans were actually allowed in the arena.

To be clear, New York needed a season like that more than anything in the world and I truly am thankful that Thibs was able to give it to us with his patented Thibs turnaround job on his way to winning Coach of the Year. However, we have already gotten the dark side of having Thibs as your coach where opposing teams are ready for the playoff effort in the regular season as the young players watch a good chunk of the losses from the bench.

But after this report, that time may be coming to an end. I was worried enough about James Dolan awakening from his slumber and remembering he owns the Knicks again in order to start meddling. Yet if the Master of Whispers in his ear about Thibs being a big problem for the Knicks sucking, I feel like he is as good as gone.

Sidenote: What a crop job by your pal Clem!

Which is fine. I always thought Thibs was going to be the guy that got the Knicks shitshow cleaned up before the next coach (hopefully) turned the Knicks into a perennial contender in the East since we all knew his strengths and weaknesses. It would've been nice if the coach the front office hand picked stuck around for more than two seasons. But if the front office truly thinks he's significantly fucking things up, he gots to go.

Thibs isn't the only one to blame in all this either. Leon Rose put this team together and Wes needs to turn up his behind the scenes meddling meter to Littlefinger levels so we can land better players than Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker. However, based on everything I know about Little Jimmy Dolan, once someone gets in his ear, someone else loses their job and once the firings start, they don't stop.

This could all be a wakeup call sent through the media to get Thibs to actually change his starting lineup, sprinkle in a few more minutes to the young guys like Obi and Cam Reddish who may be have a long term future on the team, not play his best players at the end of blowouts, and STOP BLOWING 20+ POINT LEADS.

Or it could all be the beginning of the end. We'll see which one it ends up being, but I have to admit that reports like this have me feeling a sense of normalcy as a Knicks fan for the first time in months, even though that's not necessarily a good thing since this is usually the video that ends my Knicks blogs when they kazoo man is involved with the Knicks.
