Not Sure If You Have Heard This Yet, But Clayton Kershaw And Matthew Stafford Grew Up Playing Sports Together And Now Both Are Champions

Now this is wild. It leaked out late this week that former Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw and current Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford actually grew up together in Texas and actually played sports together while growing up. Rumor has it they're still best friends to this day. Because Kershaw can't sign with a team due to the MLB lockout, he was free to head on over to SoFi Stadium and watch his buddy wins first Super Bowl because why wouldn't you? Both of these guys used to have the label of "can't win the big one", or even "can't make it to the big one", but not anymore. Can't say that about these two BFFs anymore.

Obviously that was satire and everyone in the world knows that Kershaw and Stafford are best friends and played sports together growing up at Highland Park High School in Texas. Kershaw was Stafford's center in youth football and Stafford was Kershaw's catcher in little league. Pretty awesome that both of these guys now have the hardware they've been searching for. These are two of the guys that sports fans really wanted to see get a ring, both very liked athletes who have had their fair share of criticism, now they're both on their way to the Hall of Fame. Also a cool moment for Kershaw, since there is no baseball he can go the parade! Pitchers and catchers were supposed to report in a few days but that ain't happening, go enjoy the parade Kersh. Both of them won their championships in their 13th season too, kinda neat.

All jokes aside it's pretty cool that Kershaw was able to be in the building to see a lifelong best friend win it all, in the town Kershaw has built a Hall of Fame resume in nonetheless. Now these two guys will both be able to flash their rings around and compare championships, something we were sure would ever happen. I love Kershaw not going for a suite either, he was sitting right there in a general admission seat. Imagine getting to your seat with a $19 hot dog, $13 soda, and $11 popcorn and Clayton Kershaw is sitting right next to you. Good for these two guys that seemingly are two of the most liked people in their sport, they've not both got rings and you can't take that from them. Now enjoy the pictures you've seen a bunch of these two as little kids.
