Alvin Kamara Was Arrested In Las Vegas For Battery That Resulted In "Substantial Bodily Harm" Hours After Playing In The Pro Bowl

For all the talk about how much money he makes or how much of an asshole he is, I don't envy Roger Goodell waking up in the presidential suite of whatever LA hotel he is staying in this morning. Knowing he has to add a star player allegedly beating the shit out of someone in a nightclub (around 5 PM?!?) a day before playing in the Pro Bowl on top of the shit sundae he is already eating that includes a racial discrimination class action lawsuit against the league along with allegations that an owner literally offered to pay a head coach 100 grand for every game he tanked right as the biggest week of the entire league calendar gets underway cannot be fun.

Now obviously we'll have to see what details come out of this, but "substantial bodily harm" sounds like some real deal bad shit, with Nevada defining it as:

1. Bodily injury which creates a substantial risk of death or which causes serious, permanent disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ; or

2. Prolonged physical pain.

Yeahhhh, it's not great when "prolonged physical pain" is among the best case scenarios

We'll see how everything plays out over the following days and weeks, but the stories I have blogged about NFL players in Vegas continue to shock me in the worst ways possible.
