Microsoft Domination: Microsoft Has Purchased Activision Blizzard For $68.7 BILLION

Microsoft is set to acquire Activision Blizzard for $69 BILLION (nice). Alright the true number was $68.7 Billion, but can you blame me for rounding up?

This is one of those pieces of news that truly makes your jaw drop because no one and I mean NO ONE saw this one coming. Activision Blizzard is the developer for so many of the world's largest games. These include: Call of Duty, Overwatch and Candy Crush, to just name a few.

Xbox game pass, which prior to this transaction was the best deal in gaming, is about to get even sweeter. In the past, Playstation and Sony had exclusives with Call of Duty that would grant them map access early, prior in beta testing and more - now, expect that fully to shift onto Xbox's side.

For those that aren't familiar, Game Pass is a subscription based service which opens up a massive library of video games, but old and new. Think about the Netflix mode, instead of owning the actual movie, you're able to stream them on demand whenever you please. That's basically what Game Pass brought to the Xbox world.

Or maybe it was simpler than this….maybe Xbox just wanted a Warzone FOV slider…

It's going to be really interesting to see how this one plays out, but I have faith in Microsoft leading Activision Blizzard.
