Auburn Isn't No. 1 For The First Time Ever Because A Writer From Kansas Voted Them 9th, Auburn Fans Go Ballistic On His Twitter

And here's his top-10 from college poll tracker.

What are we doing here? I don't know if there can be an argument for having Auburn outside of the top-3 that truly makes a lot of sense. The only argument is 'KenPom has them 9th'. That's it. What makes even less sense is Newell had Auburn ranked 8th a week ago. So he dropped them for winning … at Alabama and Ole Miss? Two road wins in conference including against a top-20 team? That checks out.

Needless to say Auburn fans handled it well.

And on and on we go looking through Twitter. This is just my problem with the AP poll. It makes no sense. If you want to say Gonzaga is the best team in the country, fine. I'm not going to argue with that. But there needs to be some sort of consistency with how you vote. Either that or just use the NET/KenPom/something else so we don't have this or someone accidentally voting Georgia 4th instead of Gonzaga like a few weeks back.
