Jim Mora Reportedly Told Najee Harris He Knew Who Killed Tupac During a Recruiting Visit to UCLA

Najee Harris enrolled at Alabama in January of 2017 and I am genuinely offended it took five years for this story from his recruitment to come out. According to Rivals' Rob Cassidy, then-UCLA head coach Jim Mora told Harris he knew who killed Tupac.

If you came up to me this morning and said, "Guess which college football coach in 2016 told a five-star recruit he knew details about the murder of Tupac Shakur," Mora may very well have been dead last on the list. If a college football coach who looks like the human version of a saltine cracker actually knows who killed Tupac, a bare minimum of 1,000,000 other people must know.

Although, it would be so incredible if Mora actually knew literally anything and only used that information as a recruiting pitch. Any top 100 player that comes to UCLA gets the dirt on what happened to Tupac. I've heard plenty of recruiting stories about coaches who tried far worse ideas.

At the very least, you can't accuse Mora of not trying. When you're competing against the likes of Alabama for any player, you go all-out with whatever you've got. And if I'm being honest, Jim Mora knowing who killed Tupac is so certifiably insane that I think I believe it. I don't think he's smart enough to have made that up.

I need to know many more details than are shared in that tweet of how this pitch went down. Maybe UConn will start getting some recruits with a working knowledge of the game of football now that its coach knows who killed Tupac.
