Does Thinking It's Shady That Charges Have Been Dropped Against Guards Who Lied About The Night Epstein "Committed Suicide" A Day After Maxwell Was Found Guilty Make You A Conspiracy Theorist?
Reuters - U.S. prosecutors decided to end their criminal case against two Manhattan jail guards who admitted to falsifying records on the night the financier Jeffrey Epstein killed himself on their watch.
In a Thursday filing in Manhattan federal court, prosecutors asked a judge to dismiss claims against Tova Noel and Michael Thomas, after both complied with the six-month deferred prosecution agreements they agreed to in May.
Epstein was found hanging in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on Aug. 10, 2019, while awaiting trial for sex trafficking, in what New York City's medical examiner called a suicide.
Noel and Thomas were accused of falling asleep and surfing the internet that night rather than checking on Epstein every 30 minutes.
Both admitted to having "willfully and knowingly" falsified records to make it seem they were monitoring Epstein properly.
Their deferred prosecution agreements required that they each perform 100 hours of community service and cooperate with a federal probe arising from Epstein's death.
William Barr, the U.S. attorney general at the time, had been angered that such a high-profile inmate was able to kill himself while in federal custody.
Epstein had been on suicide watch the month before died.
Thomas' lawyer Montell Figgins said his client was happy with the dismissal and looked forward to putting the matter behind him. Noel's lawyers did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Epstein's longtime associate, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, was convicted on Wednesday of helping recruit and groom underage girls for Epstein to abuse over at least a decade.

Because if so then I guess I'm guilty as charged.
Lot of chatter in the peanut gallery the past few days accusing me of being a Qanon'er and such. Despite blogging several times about the psychosis behind the group, and attempting to blog more but was denied (like the time they gathered in Dealey Plaza this year on the date of JFK's assassination because Q told them JFK and JFK Jr. were going to descend from the rafters after all these years like Sting).
So although I don't understand the accusation or name-calling for vehemently distrusting the government and people in positions of power (on both sides), based on their propensity to show how corrupt and immoral they can be, (over and over and over) I can understand it in this case.
I am willing to stand in front of the firing squad on this one in admitting I think it's shady as fuck that prosecutors dropped their case against the two guards who w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶o̶n̶ lied about Epstein's "suicide".
It stinks.
As does the U.S. Attorney Jessica Lonergan's statement regarding the whole thing-
“After a thorough investigation, and based on the facts of this case and the personal circumstances of the defendants, the Government has determined that the interests of justice will best be served by deferring prosecution in this District”
Like fucking what?
Hate to break it to you but you work for the people, your salary is taxpayer-funded. You're paid to work. So work on getting to the bottom of this case and figure out who got to Ms. Tova Noel and this Rick Ross looking mother fucker Michael Thomas.
The U.S. attorney's today filed a nolle prosequi, which is a legal notice that the prosecutors have decided to abandon the prosecution, In this case, it's just routine paperwork formalizing this arrangement.
When the guards initially received their deferred prosecution agreement, Noel’s lawyer Jason Foy expressed gratitude on behalf of his client.
“Ms. Noel is extremely grateful that we were able to convince the government and the court that the termination of criminal prosecution through a deferred prosecution agreement is in the interests of justice,” Foy wrote in a statement, which anticipated the scuttling of his charges made official on Thursday. “When the conditions set forth in the deferred prosecution agreement are met, all criminal charges against Ms. Noel will be dismissed. Securing a resolution that eliminates both imprisonment and a criminal conviction is the favorable outcome that Ms. Noel prayed for since her arrest.”
Thomas’s counsel Montell Figgins also expressed his client’s relief, in a separate statement from May that anticipated today’s development.
“Mr. Thomas is very happy to put this case behind him,” Figgins wrote at the time. “He is very pleased that this case may be dismissed in six months provided he meet certain conditions including 100 hours of community service.”
I'm no lawyer because I deferred law school to DJ (every parent's dream), but I studied enough, and put in enough paralegal hours to know that this is mail time at its finest.
I don't even have access to discovery in this case and I still know enough to give me serious pause, and make me scratch my head.

Wanna know why?
Guess what these two were supposedly BOTH doing when Epstein was suicided?
Online window shopping for new furniture sets and motorcycles.
You know who does that sort of shit randomly on a warm Wednesday night in the middle of August?
People about to come into money.
No offense to my PO and prison guard friends, but I don't think they're getting broken off with yearly or quarterly bonuses. I think they're on pretty fixed incomes.
The fact that both these two's internet search history shows them googling brand new Harley's and Walter E. Smyth living room sets is smoking gun enough to take this thing to trial and dig deeper.
Add in the fact that these two were sitting 15 feet away from Epstein's cell when he was suicided, and claim to not have heard anything, despite a fellow inmate going on the record claiming he heard him ripping his sheets up from down the hall is even more bullshit.
Add in the fact that there just so happens to be no video surveillance captured from that time period because "the system went down" coincidentally right before, and Epstein's government witness cellmate was removed a couple days before and you've got even more smoke.
If you're of the mindset that this is all a bunch of baloney, and there's nothing to see here, let me know if you have room for me to join you in La La Land.
In the meantime, I'll be heading down to the idyllic beaches of Zihuatanejo, to wait for Tova and Michael to make their way down with their pockets flush with cash.
p.s. - there's also the whole thing with Epstein's "Black Book" being sealed by the Federal Courts after Maxwell's verdict (there's a lot of misinformation floating around that it's all trial details, and all details of Epstein's network being sealed, but it's only his contact book). BUT, fair questions to ask are where the transcripts of Epstein's deposition and testimony? Where are the hard drives and CD roms of data the FBI found when the sawed open his safe at his house? Why is this all not being disclosed? But that's another conspiracy theory blog for another day.
