A Vatican Cardinal Spoke Out About The "Global Elite" Using Covid To Impose "Total Control"

Unsurprisingly this story is nowhere to be found online. At least by google measures. And in America. A few stoolies DM'd me this video the other day and I thought it was some fabricated off-the-wall shit. So I kind of brushed it off.But then I found the full interview above, watched it with English subtitles on, and unless this is one of those deep fakes, this guy, a Cardinal who is a high-ranking judge in the Vatican Court, actually said what he said.

And what he said was that the pandemic has sparked “chaos” and “turmoil” stemming not only from the “lacking knowledge” about the transmissibility and danger of the virus itself, but from the will of the super-rich to “snatch an opportunity to bring people in line”. 

The world’s financial elites are now using the pandemic and the measures governments take to fight the spread of the virus to subject people to “total control” and establish a global “surveillance state,” he added. The St. Boniface published a video showing a small part of the interview and the cardinal has since confirmed to the German dpa news agency that the footage is genuine.

“People, who sit on the throne of their wealth,” see an “opportunity to push through their agenda,” the cardinal said, naming Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, billionaire George Soros and the head of the Davos Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, among those behind the alleged global control scheme.

The cardinal then accused the global financial elites of an attempt to bring forth “a new man” created “in their own image and likeness,” adding that he would not wish such a fate on himself. “That has nothing to do with democracy,” the former Regensburg bishop, who once headed the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, he said.

Though not able to find anything about this actual interview on any credible U.S. news sites, I was able to find something on The Canadian, a very reputable Canadian news organization. But it was just about the backlash Cardinal Muller's statements caused.

The Canadian - The political scientist and expert on conspiracy theories Jan Rathje told the dpa about Müller’s claims: “The statements can largely be evaluated in terms of conspiracy ideology.” The cardinal and judge at the Vatican’s highest court also explicitly mentioned the American-Jewish investor George Soros. This could “be seen as an anti-Semitic cipher,” said Rathje.

It seems the Cardinal, like anybody else that brings up George Soros' name in a negative way, is being labeled an anti-semite.

Some experts invited by Germany’s Der Spiegel magazine and other media said his words can be interpreted as a comparison between the actions of the modern government and those of the Nazis, whose crimes are thus “played down.” They also said that a mere mention of Soros in such a context can be seen as anti-Semitic.

Later, conference spokesman Matthias Kopp said on Twitter that "he was astonished by Mueller’s words" and added that the cardinal made such statements “as a private person.”

Shockingly, perhaps because he's German born, the Cardinal originally didn't back down. 

Mueller responded to the German news agency DPA in an email stating that it is wrong to suggest that anyone who “criticizes the financial elite … is automatically on the wrong side,” and further urged that “super-rich elites in various countries” are exerting an “illegitimate influence” over the people of the planet.

NCRonline.org - But it was Müller's mention of Soros that led both the Conference of European Rabbis, Germany's antisemitism commissioner and other Jewish leaders to push back. 

In response to the interview, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt, president of the Conference of European Rabbis, which represents over 700 rabbis, called on the Vatican to "clearly distance themselves from such crude statements and positions.”

Felix Klein, Germany's commissioner for fighting antisemitism, also called on the Vatican to challenge Müller's remarks, adding that his "antisemitic conspiracy myths that are harmful to our society and only exacerbate existing problems."

Similarly, Josef Schuster, president of the Central Council of Jews, said in an interview that Müller's remarks were "clearly antisemitic ciphers" and labeled them as "irresponsible and unacceptable." 

The Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) also criticized these statements.

Now he's walking some of what he said back, either by force, or on his own. It's unclear. But the German government apparently has a department that oversees anti-semitism, and they were none-too-happy about the remarks either.

Klein emphasized: "The corona pandemic demands a lot from us as a society, it presents us with challenges that we have not previously known in this dimension. Nobody is exempt from the consequences, everyone is affected. ”That is why social cohesion must be strengthened now more than ever.

I am the last person to point to the Catholic Church and say, "there's an upstanding, credible organization." (I went to a Catholic High School in Massachusetts, where far too many of my friend's relatives were molested by "men of the cloth")

We're also not talking about the brightest bunch either. Back in August, Cardinal Muller's homeboy, Cardinal Burke, Archbishop Emeritus of St. Louis, spoke out against vaccines, and mandates. Strongly. Only to find himself on a ventilator days later.

But, I do also believe the Catholic Church, the Vatican especially, is so "plugged in" and a part of whatever it is, or whoever it is, that is really pulling the strings behind the curtain, that if there's going to be anybody on the inside that's going to spill the beans, it's going to be a character like a headstrong German Cardinal who has gone rogue.

After a little digging on Cardinal Muller I think he might fit that bill.

The cardinal had already signed an archbishop's manifesto against the corona restrictions in early 2020, in which narratives from conspiracy theories appear. The talk was of the "prelude to the creation of a world government beyond control".

Müller then said that the text was deliberately misunderstood. His criticism was of "the synodal path of the Catholic Church in Germany", the decision-making of which the cardinal had compared to the National Socialists' enabling law, had caused outrage.

Müller led the Vatican's doctrinal congregation from 2012 until 2017, when Pope Francis did not renew the cardinal's five-year term in office. 

Since then, Müller has regularly appeared in conservative Catholic media, often critical of aspects of Francis' papacy, such as his decision to limit the use of the traditional Latin Mass and his outreach to the Muslim world. 

Despite the cardinal's criticism during his recent interview of "people who sit on the throne of their wealth," he has been a regular speaker at events hosted by the Napa Institute, which organizes conferences for affluent conservative Catholics.

And the organization he was speaking to? The "St. Boniface Institute"? Yah, might be a little sketchy as well -

The St. Boniface Institute, which aired the interview, was founded by Catholic right-wing activist Alexander Tschugguel, who in 2019 stole statues of pregnant Indigenous women (often labeled as the "Pachamama") during the Vatican's Amazon synod from a church near the Vatican and later threw the statues in Rome's Tiber river.

So who the hell knows.

Oxfam based its analysis of the wealthiest people on the Forbes Billionaires List.

According to Oxfam, their increase in wealth would be more than enough to pay for a Covid-19 vaccine for all, which the organization estimated at $141.2 billion.

Only three of the 50 richest billionaires in the world saw their fortunes shrink, the report added.

It is likely that almost every country in the world will see an increase in inequality due to the pandemic, for the first time since records began, according to the report.
