All These Nostalgia Blogs Got Me Thinking About One Thing And One Thing Only...

I'll be honest, the blogs may have gotten away from us. What started as a Dog Walk with Rico as a guest:

Turned into a blog by Chief:

Turned into a blog by Clem:

Turned into a blog by me:

Which then turned into a counter attack by Clem. Kinda bullshit to release Denise Richards on a Friday night when I'm being a 'good' husband at my wife's company Christmas party.

Now I'm not sure how these things go, but I think - I THINK - Clem and I might be in a blog wank battle? He's the expert there, so I'll leave that up to him. But what all this did was get me thinking about a couple things. 1) Blog something like this and maybe weasel my way back into a snake draft but nostalgia shit. I had okay showing with college basketball and horse racing. Bob Baffert probably cheated against me to give Carl the horse racing win if we're being honest. 2) We - those around the same as me at 34 - truly grew up in a golden era. All these movies and actresses. The Attitude Era, wrestling at its peak (almost went that way for a second here) and then of course, Britney vs Christina with a little Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore sprinkled in.

That brings me to Dirrty

It was the moment the 'good girl vs bad girl' rivalry really showed and 2002 was a wonderful, wonderful time. You could argue this music video is the exact reason we got Toxic from Britney. Fine, I'll put that in here too.

There was a time where this was the biggest rivalry in the world. Take any sporting event out and it was Britney vs Xtina. But this is a blog about nostalgia and more importantly what we had back in the day. These blogs from everyone reminded the world of coming home to catch TRL. Coming home to try and download the Denise Richards scene on Kazaa without your dad seeing a million viruses and playing dumb. Hoping you could see through a scrambled television to catch some Real Sex or at least what you thought was a boob. Thank you Chief. Thank you Clem. Some days we need to be reminded of how it used to be.
