Former Steelers Are Coming Out In Droves To Rip The Current Team

Guys, I'm going to be real with you when I watch that Cincinnati game yesterday we came out flat, but the most discouraging thing I see from our defense - Dickie (LeBeau) used to say all the time - one thing we won't allow is a team to run the football on us. That's not going to happen. We're going to make them not run the football. Secondary guys - we want them to throw. But no one is going to run on our defense. The last three weeks, the Steelers defense has allowed an average of 195 yards per ballgame in the last three ballgames. That's against Cincinnati, the Chargers, and the Detroit Lions. And a total of 7 rushing touchdowns in those three games. That is NOT the Steeler Way. Because when you allow a team to run the football on you, they're basically walking into your house, turning on your TV, going in your refrigerator and getting some cold juice when they don't pay one bill."

And to top it all off....the legendary hero and Super Bowl champion Rocky Bleier:

"The Steelers SUCK. What I can't understand is why. It's not them losing that bothers me as much as lack of pride or self-esteem. How do you give up 82 points in the last two games? How do you, in the words of Mike Tomlin, get beat up on both sides of the ball? Is it a mindset? Big Ben after the game said, "it is what it is. It happens sometimes. We need to play better." My reaction? No shit! So why don't you play better? I don't wanna hear about injuries. We got beat even when everyone was healthy. Because actions speak louder than words. And at this stage of the game the actions spell out "loser".

What a disaster. Just embarrassing through and through. I feel bad for Cam Heyward. Got guys whining about / being a smartass about playing more music at practice. I remember when the Steelers wouldn't even play music in the locker room. Sheeesh. All this after Troy Polamalu spoke so genuinely and beautifully about what it means to be a Steeler at his HOF induction this summer.

Makes me sick to my stomach thinking about how so many hung on every word of that speech, took so much pride in it, and yet most of the guys on the current roster were probably promoting their twitch stream without a clue it was even happening. Fuck that. As my buddy Donny from Pittsburgh said this morning, the Steelers of my childhood hate the Steelers of my adulthood.

Right now, I don't blame them.
