What the hell is going on out here? Listen, sure, there's a line that people shouldn't cross. Think we can all agree on that. BUT, funny is funny. If the dude is out here cracking funny Kardashian jokes, he doesn't deserve to get kicked off. If he's not funny, well, I'm willing to listen. There are very few things more annoying than being at a game and stuck next to the guy who thinks he's an A+ heckler when in reality he can't even string together an insult that you hear on the recess yard. Gotta have some sort of creativity. Mix it up and don't just go with the classics.
I know Tristan Thompson may have been the one reportedly to get this guy kicked out, but let's be honest, this is was Kris Jenner. I'm convinced she's a top-5 powerful person in the world. She pulls strings better than anyone I've ever seen. Plants storylines left and right, knows how to get eyeballs on the family and keep their name out there. Master. “I think (when) you pay for a ticket you’ve got a right to boo guys, you’ve got a right to cheer for your team … but inappropriate things should never be what anyone should say,” Gentry said.
“I don’t think it needs to be talked about or anything, but obviously it’s not anything that I’m going to tolerate people saying to my players, I know that, not without intervening and asking them to be removed,” Gentry said. “They can say anything they want to me or they can boo and do everything they want with the players, but there’s no room for saying inappropriate things in a sporting event. That’s not why you’re there.”
Game officials, Grizzlies personnel and NBA security stopped play to have the fan removed after Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton shot two free throws with 9:38 to play in the fourth quarter. Thompson was seen looking in the fan’s direction and motioning to officials before security escorted him out of the building. The fan raised his glass and gestured to the crowd as he left the arena.
He might be an interim coach but he's a vet. He knows what he has to do in order to stay on board with the Kings here. He sits there and says you don't say anything rude. Uhh yeah you do. Like I said, there's a line, we all know where the line is. If the dude is dropping funny Kardashian jokes, let him live. I'd also pay to hear what Tristan said to the refs. 'Uhh yes, sir, that man right there. He keeps talking about how Kim is dating Pete Davidson.'
We've also come a long way since Kim Kardashian was booing the hell out of Tristan Thompson.
Pretty sure this is the first Kardashian-based ejection in NBA history though. Gotta give them credit for that. Stay on your toes, Devin Booker.
