Whoa. Noah Syndergaard Just Signed A 1-Year, $21 Million Deal With The Angels

Gotta admit, I did NOT see this coming. All the reports we were reading during the season was that the Mets would extend the ~$19 million qualifying offer to Noah Syndergaard, he would accept it since he pitched 2 innings over the last 2 seasons, and both sides would hope that Noah would then earn a monster contract for a long time from the Mets.

Instead he follows his ex-flame to La-La-Land to the pitcher's graveyard that is the Angels for like $2 million more than the qualifying offer and the Mets end up with a draft pick along with an update to this cursed image.

Seeing this makes me want to cry.

Clearly a ton to break down considering Noah's interesting time with the Mets. So instead of me clumsily doing it in the blog, we are recording We Gotta Believe right now with instant reactions to the deal as well as Billy Eppler likely becoming the next Mets GM. Watch below or subscribe on podcast.
