A Colombian Instagram Model Is On Trial This Week Facing 21 Years In Jail For Helping Her Mom (A Disgraced Senator) Break Out Of Prison

(Daily Mail )An Instagram model broke her mother out of jail using a hidden rope and getaway bike after distracting the security guard, it is alleged. Influencer Aida Victoria Merlano, 21, who is Colombian, allegedly managed to complete the daring plan to get her mother out of prison.
In a trial this week, prosecutors heard that the 21-year-old helped former politician Aida Merlano Rebolledo break out of a Bogota prison by climbing out of a third-story window and using a rope to get to the ground, according to the Sun.
Disgraced Senator Aida Merlano Rebolledo was sitting in prison under a 15 year sentence because of illegal possession of weapons, voter fraud and corruption during her election. She managed to arrange a dentist appointment outside of the prison where she would go on to scheme a break out. With the help of her daughter, the dentist, some hidden rope, and a getaway driver she actually got away for a brief period of time. The only thing these masterminds forgot to take care of were the nearby security cameras and the whole part where this happened in broad daylight in front of random pedestrians.

Well eventually everyone was caught, her mom is back in jail, while the daughter and the dentist are now on trial for her help in the escape. They're facing some serious jail time. Seems the daughter was at the dentist's office that day and allegedly provided her mom with the tools to escape and a cellphone. The dentist left the mom alone in the room while the idiot security guard waiting patiently outside, having no suspicion of any funny business going on. What a complete and utter moron.
Four months after the escape the daughter was brought up on charges. She's remained free on bail for over a year now while they waited for the trial to get going. In that time she's managed to explode on Instagram as you can see with over 2.5 million followers. Credit to her for seizing the moment and striking the iron while it's hot.
