Travis Barker Continues To Ooze Romance, Tattoos Kourtney Kardashian's Lips Onto His Own Body

Out with the old and in with the new.

Travis Barker debuted two new tattoos on Monday: an imprint of Kourtney Kardashian’s black-lipstick-covered lips and a massive black scorpion.

While the lips are obviously a tribute to his fiancée, the scorpion just so happens to cover his old tattoo dedicated to ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

Completed by tattoo artist Scott Campbell, both pieces of ink were placed on the Blink-182 drummer’s inner arm. While the scorpion is serving as a cover for the heart inscribed with Moakler’s name, it also is referencing his Scorpio astrological sign.

“Scorpio season. On @travisbarker … Lips straight from the mouth of @kourtneykardash Congrats you two ,” Campbell captioned a photo of his designs.

You thought the monstrous engagement ring Travis gave Kourtney was the height of romance? WRONG. This weekend Travis did not one, but two massive gestures of love for Kourtney: tattooed her lips onto his body, and covered up an old tattoo about his ex wife. 

Sure, maybe we think it's a little silly to permanently brand yourself with the lips of another. Travis knows that love doesn't always last forever, considering the fact he was engraving his skin for his new wife he was wiping away the evidence of his old one, Shanna Moakler. He's clearly unbothered by this fact. He knows that even if he eventually has to cover up Kourtney's lips one day, just like he's covered up Shanna's heart, right now, this, love, is REAL.

I had a friend in high school who's boyfriend did this. We were 17, her boyfriend was...maybe 23? It was definitely creepy. He was like, the hot punk guy in my town. He had his own house I think? Or his own place? Which makes sense, considering he was way older than us...but I remember ALL of the girls being obsessed with him at one point or another (obviously we didn't realize he was borderline illegally fucking underage high school girls at the time because he was too punk rock for us to care) and he was SoOoOoOo cool for being SuChHhHh an adult. My friend came into our creative writing class one day with a handful of index cards with different kisses on them, and asked us to help her pick which one was best for his new tattoo, which would be going on his neck. I had never heard something so romantic in my life. Branded! With HER LIPS! No other hoes could EVER kiss his neck without being reminded of HER! It was so much fun, and even she was like "this feels insane, but whatever!" They broke up probably...5 months later? He's currently married with a kid, based on a quick Facebook stalk, and the lips tattoo is nowhere to be found. 

Let's hope Travis and Kourtney have better luck.
