Mets Maniac Madness: Everything You Need to Know Ahead of This Week's Stool Streams LXXI, Contest Lock at 2:15 PM ET
It's time for another edition of Rock, Paper, Scissors inside Stool Streams Stadium. For the past 14 months, we have aired our matches in the afternoons. But tonight, that changes.
Welcome to Primetime.
Our Play Barstool contest takes place this afternoon, but keep in mind that the contest will still lock at the usual time (Wednesday at 3 PM ET). We will be pre-recording the matches and our fantastic production team will be touching things up afterwards before premiering it on the Stool Streams YouTube Channel. Before we zone in on our triple-header today, here are the rules for this contest:
- Each match will be best 2-out-of-3 sets, first to 7 wins (no win by 2)
- Players must say "Rock, Paper, Scissors" out loud and keep their throw under the table at all times
- Players must maintain eye contact throughout the duration of each throw
- Each player has one timeout per match
Match 1 - Nate (0-0) vs. Smitty (0-1)
Storylines: It's the battle of the poker minds to lead off our broadcast today. There is no doubt that Smitty will try to get into Nate's head, and if he can successfully bluff what he throws, Smitty will be in great shape to secure his first RPS win inside the Triple S. On the other side, Nate aims to make a statement in his first career RPS match.
Match 2: Kayce (0-0) vs Alex Bennett (0-0)
Storylines: Our middle match today is the Battle of the Blondes. Both Kayce and Alex Bennett make their RPS debuts, but it's the latter who will be competing for the first time ever in an official Stool Streams match. Will Alex be able to deal with the pressure under the bright lights, or is it Kayce who emerge victorious?

Match 3 - KFC (0-0) vs. Frank The Tank (2-0)
Storylines: Tonight's grand finale is a rivalry that has some history. During the entirety of the 2021 Mets season, KFC and Frank The Tank have not been on the same page. Two weeks ago, KFC came into the Triple S and had some words for Frank, who picked up his third consecutive win on Stool Streams. That's when Frank called out KFC, which brings us to tonight's match. Will one of these guys be the reason we have a $500 jackpot winner? Hopefully.
