Ghostface Killah Has Announced He's Working on "Supreme Clientele Part 2" and Kanye West Is Producing It

HNHH - Kanye has apparently signed on for another project, alongside Mike Dean. Ghostface Killah quietly hit the r/hiphopheads page on reddit where he formally announced his next studio album, Supreme Clientele 2. The short message shared on the platform revealed that the album would be executive produced by Kanye West, Mike Dean, and producerpluguni.com. The album's release is set for Feb. 2022.

Ghost previously announced in 2020 that the sequel to 2000's Supreme Clientele would be released. Though we presume that the pandemic, among other factors, played a role in getting pushed back, it seems well worth the wait if both Mike Dean and Kanye West will be helping shape the final product.

Giphy Images.

Monster news here. For fans of old (good) hip hop, and new alike. For Wu-Tang fans, and Kanye cult members both.

Supreme Clintele remains one of the best, and most creative albums from an age where rap artists weren't hell-bent on expressing their creativeness and artistic side. Or pretending to like so many do today.

Ghostface was way, way ahead of his time.

For crying out loud how fire is this?

Him getting into the studio with another creative wizard like Kanye, whose depth of classical Motown music is pretty much unparalleled has me, and any hip hop fan, extremely hyped.

Now I know what the haters will say, Nasir, the Nas album that we all got our dicks hard about back in 2018 was a gigantic dud.

But this feels different.

For one, Kanye is in a much better headspace. He was attempting to work on that album during some of his most dramatic marital moments, manic episodes, and all-around craziness.

He just dropped what is, from a production standpoint alone, one of his greatest works of his career, and seems to be mentally healthy (somewhat) again for the first time in a long time.

He's also juggling a bunch of projects. He's got his GAP partnership about to really blast off. He's got his recently announced Netflix documentary "Jeen-Yuhs" in production.

And he's working on producing Pusha-T's new album, Fivio Foreign's new album, as well as Big Sean's new album (Detroit 2). He also just completed work on Abstract Mindstate's latest album

Also, a major part of all of this, and one fans should not overlook is that Mike Dean is also helping oversee this project.

Who the fuck is Mike Dean?

Mike Dean is in my opinion, one of the top 3 most talented people in music production today. He is from outer space. Truly not from this world when he's sitting behind a mixing board. If you've never heard of him, and give a shit, watch this interview.

He's been in the shadows for years, but his name is finally becoming well known due to all of the smashes he's co-produced.

Here are just a few to give you an idea -

Bottom line, can't freaking wait for this album to drop. Going to feel like 2005 all over again.
