Respect This Asshole French Marathon Runner Who Pulled A Diabolical Move Mid-Race At The Olympics

Is this French dude a massive dickhead? Absolutely. Not even a debate. Do I respect him? Oh hell yeah. We're talking about the Olympics here. Fuck outta here with sportsmanship all the time and all those feel good stories. Last time I checked sports is about winning and losing. I don't see anything about getting medals for being a good sport. I don't see anything in the marathon rule book about not being allowed to push over every water bottle. Then again, I'm not up to date on my marathon rules. I fucking ate shit taking a weird step when running this weekend and scraped the hell out of my hands and knees. I'm never running again. Had a good stretch for 34 years. But this guy pulled the smart move of knocking every bottle down except the last one for himself. That's actual skill. Being able to do pull that move off mid-race when it was a million degrees in Tokyo is nothing to make fun of.

Now this guy finished 14th. Yeah, 14th in the world sounds good, but really not a competitor for a medal here. That means you have to do anything possible to win, even if it's pissing everyone off on Twitter. I respect that. I respect a guy who will blur the lines of legal or not for a win. That's a guy with heart. That's a guy I want on my team. You think he care about what people will say about him? Nope. Every team needs someone like that. I'm not even talking about a heel, I'm talking about someone that will do anything for a win. That's how much he cares about the sport.

So asshole? Sure, call him that. But you can also call him a top competitor. That's what I choose.
