These Olympics Keep Getting Weirder - Aron Baynes Is Now Out Because He Hurt Himself Slipping In The Bathroom

[Yahoo] - “It was a complicated series of events,” Australian Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Hughes told reporters on Friday. “He did suffer an injury during the match on the court, and then he had a slip in the bathroom and suffered further injury.

Sure, why not? These Olympics are already bizarre to begin with let's add a bathroom injury to the mix. Now, Baynes did get a bit of an injury during a game but apparently that wasn't going to keep him out long term. He's now out for the rest of the Olympics because he fell in the bathroom and quite frankly I didn't believe it. I checked Twitter roughly 100 times to make sure this wasn't a fake reporter or some shit like that. It just sounds fake, which is typically reserved for baseball players. Think about some of the weird ass sports injuries through the years:

- Sammy Sosa sneezing so hard he hurt his back

- Joba Chamberlain hurting his ankle jumping on a trampoline

- Joel Zumaya had a wrist injury from playing too much Guitar Hero

- Glenallen Hill ran through a glass door when having a dream he was being chased by spiders

Those are just ones that immediately come to mind. I really need to know more about this fall though. Was he just walking and hit a wet spot? Was he getting out of the shower and that area was wet? There are very few feeling more scary than when you start to slip. We've all been there before. You hit a little wet or icy spot and you start to do the Marv from Home Alone dance.

You're just hoping and praying that you don't go down. This is especially true when you're in your 30s and above. I don't care if you're a professional athlete, those legs start to go and you're hanging on for dear life. Brutal way to go out in the Olympics too, especially since Australia is decent and has a chance to medal. Get hurt on the court and then fall in the bathroom.
