Scottie Pippen Continues To Embarrass Himself On Twitter, Now Stating That LeBron Won His 2016 Ring With No Help

OK, are we sure Scottie Pippen didn't get hacked by some sort of LeBron fanboy or something? It was already silly enough for what he said about Kevin Durant, but to then double down like this and basically tell on yourself in the process? Woof. I'm starting to think Scottie didn't even watch the 2016 Finals to have a take this terrible. What is with all these retired legends and their horrific basketball takes, it's getting out of hand. First it was Reggie Miller suggesting the Nets should sit their best players for a Game 6 playoff game, and now this. What I want to know is once Pippen hit send on that tweet if he thought it was his mic drop moment. In reality, it had the exact opposite effect.

Let's take a journey back in time to 2016 and that Cavs run. For starters, while Kyrie didn't make the All Star team that season, that has more to do with his games played considering he made it the prior 3 years and then the following 3 years. He's a star played in the 2015-16 season. Kevin Love didn't make the All Star team either, but had made it 3 previous times in MIN. His deal was more his role within the Cavs system, but he too was also a star in 2015-16.

Now look at how each did in every playoff series

Kyrie

Round 1: 27.5/2.3/4.8 on 47/48% splits with 4.0 3PM

Round 2: 21.3/1.5/6.3 on 49/63% with 3.0 3PM

Round 3: 24.2/3.3/4.5 on 48/30% splits with 1.3 3PM

Round 4: 27.1/3.9/3.9 on 46/36% splits with 2.1 3PM

Not only that, but his Game 5 performance (41/3/6 on 70/71%) was one of the best postseason games we've ever seen a player have. That came with the season on the line down 3-1. I'm sure you've seen this graphic

Then ya know…there was also this shot in Game 7 that looking back feels pretty important

LeBron was a monster in that Game 7 no doubt it, but the Cavs most likely don't win that title without that three.

Then you look at Kevin Love's 2016 run

Kevin Love

Round 1: 18.8/12.0/1.8 on 42/36% splits with 2.3 3PM

Round 2: 19.0/13.0/2.5 on 31/50% with 4.8 3PM

Round 3: 15.2/5.7/2.8 on 46/46% splits with 2.2 3PM

Round 4: 8.5/6.8/1.3 on 34/27% splits with 0.8 3PM

OK, so Love had a pretty terrible NBA Finals, but you know what he did do? Shut down Steph Curry on the perimeter all by himself in a gigantic moment with the title on the line

That wasn't LeBron either and in my humble opinion helped the Cavs win a championship.

I mean, these are real life things that happened. That's why I am so confused as to why Scottie Pippen is doing this. It's almost like he knows he's wrong but he has to keep doubling down for some reason. People didn't forget Scottie, 2016 wasn't that long ago plus the internet exists.

I would argue that LeBron has never won a ring with no help. Just like any other all time great. But to use the 2016 Finals as your example is just so laughable I don't even know how to spinzone it. That's why if I had to guess, we're about to get a Jay Williams moment from Pippen

There's just no way anyone can seriously believe that Pippen statement and be someone who also watched the 2016 Cavs playoff run. Just log off Scottie, you're only making things worse for yourself.
