A Mississippi Man's Fantasy Football Punishment Gave Us One of the Great Twitter Threads of Our Time

There is no fantasy football punishment quite like the time-honored tradition of the 24-hour Waffle House challenge. This is hardly the first time this stunt has been done, but Lee Sandelin breathed a life into his experience unlike any I've ever seen before. I felt like I was in the Brandon, Miss. WaHo with him.

It sounds pretty easy until you get four or five waffles in. I have to imagine the feeling of being filled to the brim with Waffle House is made infinitely worse by looking down at your phone and calculating that you still have 17 hours remaining sitting at an uncomfortable booth in an establishment where a fight could break out between employees and fellow patrons at any given moment.

But I can't tell you about Lee's experience better than he described it himself, so here are the highlights of his punishment.

I can't even imagine the relief that accompanies the walk out the door of Waffle House after 15 hours and nine waffles. Thank you to Lee for sharing his story and taking all of us along on his journey.

Don't come in last in fantasy football, kids.
