We've Got Our First Glimpse At Big Ben To Najee Harris And It Looks Delightful

Now this, THIS I could get used to.

All the talk of declining offensive line (which was true last year) and aging Big Ben (still factually true, he's 39) has overshadowed the absolute lack of playmaking out of the backfield from the Steelers since 2017. As much as I like James Conner more than I like Le'Veon Bell there's just no denying that there was a big falloff after Bell bounced. Both in the run game AND the passing game.

This clip from OTAs has to get you at least a little more excited for the fall. Najee split out 2014 Lev Bell style running a skinny wheel route and Big Ben dropping it in. An element of the Steelers game that has been missing and missing dearly for a few years now.

For all the "NAJEE WAS A BAD PICK BCUZ HE A RUNNING BACK" crowd just remind yourself that Benny Snell or Anthony McFarland certainly wasn't bringing this to the table. Remind yourself that over and over and over again.

Not only did we get the glimpse of Big Ben and Najee but Najee also officially became a Pittsburgh Steeler today signing the 4-year rookie deal with $13 million guaranteed.

It is the end of May, I'm gearing up for the biggest party in Indiana before this weekend's Indy 500, no one has pads on and there's no defense, but today…today is a good day in Steelers Nation.
