What are we doing here? Sure, Jay Wright is a Hall of Famer, that's not a debate here. How the hell is Bob Huggins not on this list? How many years are we going to go through with this man and his glorious track suit sitting on a stool waiting to hear his name called for the Hall of Fame? It's far too many for my liking. Bob Huggins is fucking awesome. Not only is he a friend of the program, he's a damn good coach. Look at some of these numbers:
900 wins. 70% win percentage. 2 Final Fours, with two different schools. 11 regular season conference titles. The guy has everything besides a national championship. We really holding that against him? No, of course not. He's a Hall of Famer. Shit, look at what he's done with West Virginia and his ability to adapt. He went from Press Virginia and ugly basketball to this uptempo style this past season and letting McBride cook. Hell, even during the season he went from the hi-lo with Oscar T. and Culver to 4-out, 1-in. That's what Huggy Bear does.
If we're going to do active coaches what are we waiting for. Bob Huggins, Mark Few and Jay Wright are all no-brainer Hall of Famers. Just put them in. Plus imagine the speech this guy would give:
