Citi Field Is Going To Have Vaccinated Seating Starting May 19th That Will Allow Vaccinated Fans To Sit In Normal, Non-Distanced Sections And Will Also Give Away Free Tickets To Anyone That Gets Vaccinated At A Game

Me walking to my seat at Citi Field with my vaccine card in hand and microchips flowing through my blood:

In the words of Peter Morgan Alonso, EL EF GEEEE (the EM isn't really necessary here but feel free to throw it in if you want). Slowly but surely we are getting closer to normal in this fucked up world and this announcement is the latest step. Now you and all your vaccinated friends can go attend a ballgame together without any social distancing. Wanna get a handy under a blanket from a vaccinated stranger while the Amazins are trying their hardest to score as well or start a wave when it's 3-2 in the 8th inning with the bases loaded? Go for it! (but don't do the wave if the game is close late)! Wanna watch a game in a vaccinated section with your unvaccinated kids?

Now if the Mets are smart, and based on the increase of brainpower they just got in the ownership box, they will make sure that these vaccinated sections will be the ones that are usually shown on SNY so the people at home get a nice dose of normalcy in their eyeballs during every home game. To be honest, I just want to know when we can all get together for a Barstool At The Ballpark with the only distance between us being the blue mountains of our Coors Lights and a packed Citi Field can greet this man properly as this song plays.

Not only are the Mets making but they are also giving away vaccines at the game along with a free ticket to a future game.

Not quite as awesome as the fedora giveaway, but still pretty decent I suppose.

The Mets and Yankees are also doing away with negative COVID tests to enter games.

This will surely piss people off, but I think/hope the medical people consulted for this said it would be OK. Besides, you would imagine that no Mets fan feeling ANY coronavirus symptoms would want to go to Citi Field to experience what this team can do to your soul.
