Dave Grohl's New Music Documentary 'What Drives Us' (Featuring AC/DC, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, And More) Is Streaming Now

Everyone has a few niches they're expected to cover here at Barstool, and somewhere along the way, Dave Grohl became one of mine. Honestly, I couldn't be happier about that, but because that's the case - I feel it is my OBLIGATION to tell you about the 'Sound City'/'Sonic Highways' director's latest documentary, 'What Drives Us', which hit The Coda Collection on Amazon Prime today!

'What Drives Us' is a film about the earliest touring days of bands like Foo Fighters, U2, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, AC/DC - hell, even The Beatles - when traveling city-to-city all crammed into a van was all they knew. Along the way, it also gets into what "drove" some of those artist to pursue music at all, and if Grohl's previous work in film is any indication, this will be phenomenal and a must watch for any rock n' roll fans.

I think you just get to see a different side of these people (some of the biggest/most iconic names in music history) when it's Dave Grohl, the god damn drummer of Nirvana/frontman of the Foo Fighters, asking them the questions behind the camera. There's a certain respect and comfortability there.

Combine that with the fact that having a documentarian as passionate as Dave who's actually been there for so much of what they're talking about, and you get a masterpiece of a music doc like 'Sound City'....

I can't wait to dig into this later! Let me know what you think on Twitter if you give it a watch!
