Dave Gettleman Just Turned The Entire NFL Draft On Its Head With Reports Leaking That The Giants May Trade Down From 11

GETTLEFINGER STRIKES!!!

Look at Dave Gettleman upsetting the apple cart with less than 10 days before the NFL Draft as everyone gets ready to submit their final mock drafts. I don't know much about apple carts and have never seen an actual apple cart. But I know upsetting them is an absolutely reckless thing to do. Are there orange carts? Banana carts? Why wouldn't you just consolidate them all to a fruit cart to cast a wider net for customers? Again, I'm not sure.

The important thing to note is that Gettleman has indeed got the people talking and it's not a mistake that Ian Rapoport leaked this news considering him and Joe Judge have Mississippi State ties. All we have heard for Gettleman's entire tenure as Giants GM is that he has never traded down in the draft. Well now a seed has been planted that Big Blue may trade down, gather some more picks, and maybe go after one of those EDGEs that could be a bit of a reach at 11. Or maybe they will just stay pat and take someone that has been mocked to the Giants a million times in what feels like the longest mock draft season in the history of the world. Nobody fucking knows!

And you want to know the best part about all this? This report just so happened to drop a half hour before this happens:

That's right. Ol' Davey G is about to step behind a hot mic, lie his ass off, and say at least one wacky line that will be quote retweeted by every NFL beat writer on the planet. In the past that would've driven me crazy. But now that we have Coach Judge here running things behind the scenes, I am cool as a cucumber about anything that is said today on this press conference or announced behind a podium when the Giants are on the clock. In the meantime, let Gettlefinger tell his tales and cause the puppets on his strings to lose their mind on Twitter about a report or what a 70-year-old man said in a press conference during Smokescreen Season. Because as a wise man once said...

But seriously, I neeeeeeeed the Giants to trade down. Not just because they have multiple holes to fill with not a lot of picks (Sidenote: Haha, holes to fill) but because if I have to hear that Dave Gettleman has never traded down ONCE in his career as a GM, one more goddamn time, I am going to fucking lose it. I don't care that there is a decent chance this may be Gettleman's last draft with the Giants. Doing the same thing over and over is the definition of insanity and I've been reading that same tweet for way too long to keep it together, especially after this last year.
