The Dodgers Giving Vin Scully His Own World Series Ring Is An A+ Move

Vin Scully is Mr. Dodger. You can't not think of when you think of that franchise. He's up there on the Mount Rushmore of Dodgers with Jackie Robinson, Sandy Koufax, and Duke Snyder. Has to be. He's not only a Dodger legend, he's a legend of the sport and the broadcasting industry. He was behind the mic for the Dodgers for 67 seasons starting in 1950 before he retired in 2016. He is Dodger baseball. It only made sense for the team to present him with a World Series ring from their 2020 Championship, he's put in more work and time in Dodger blue than anyone. Now the team did win 6 World Series while Scully was with the Dodgers but it's still pretty awesome that they rewarded him with one. He's been there the whole way, seen all these players come up and make their big league debuts, saw all the heartbreaking October losses, only right to celebrate the legend this way. Like the Dodgers, Scully was waiting since 1988 to get his next ring, cool to see him show it off with that insane presentation box and all. He's getting up there in age, 93, so it's cool that he gets to celebrate one more championship, hopefully he's around for a few more. One of the most beloved people not just in baseball, but sports. I hope he wears that ring from sunup to sundown.

PS. Remember when he told the whole world that Torii Hunter's dad was a crackhead.
