This Ref Asking For Erling Haaland's Autograph In The Tunnel Either Has The Biggest Balls Or Is The Dumbest Human In The World
This assistant ref is a crazy person. That's the decision I've come to in the span of about 3 minutes after writing the headline. Why? We're talking European soccer fans here. You don't think Man City fans will lose their shit seeing this even after winning 2-1? You don't think they'll have this guy's name, family history, address and DNA within 24 hours? Again, European soccer fans are batshit crazy. They make the craziest fans in America look calm.
Here's the thing. What are you doing ref? I get that Haaland is a star. I get he's one of the best players in the world. But you can't be asking for autographs in the tunnel. At least wait until you change. You'd be better off if you were blasting some bare chest and just viewed as a crazy autograph seeker than a ref asking for an autograph. Plus, you have Gio Reyna right behind you. He's helping save American soccer. Get his autograph.
I do love Pep's response to it all:
Would love to see what he'd say if Man City lost. Something tells me he wouldn't be so calm and wouldn't be making jokes that he's just a big fan. He 100% wouldn't say the refs were perfect. I know if I were a Man City fan (fuck them, COYS) I'd immediately be blaming this ref for even letting Dortmund get a goal. I don't care if it was a pretty sick goal by Marco Reus
If Dortmund advances on aggregate or away goals, I'm blaming this ref. Just an insane person to be a ref in European soccer and pull this move. Gigantic balls and a dumb person.
