Jennifer Love Hewitt Says The Media Obsession With Her Body Was "Gross" And I Am Here To Take Accountability

“I definitely look back on it and go, ‘ew,'” Hewitt said, adding that she recalls the focus being placed on her body after the release of the 1997 horror film, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.”

The actress said she purposely wore a T-shirt that said “Silicone Free” to a press junket on because she was “so annoyed” and “knew something about boobs was gonna be the first question out of [reporters’] mouths.”

“I was really tired of that conversation,” she said. “With ‘Heartbreakers,’ that was a big part of it. I was disappointed that it was all about body stuff, because I had really worked hard in that movie to do a good job as an actress.”

Time offers everyone perspective. It gives us a chance to grow and it gives us a chance to let some things about ourselves and our behavior die. As a person what was recently sexually objectified on a media platform...

...I know exactly what she is going through. You try to rationalize it, spin it into a compliment, and laugh it off, but it is offensive. I wasn't a member of the media back then, but I am here to apologize personally to Jennifer Love Hewitt because I was DEFINITELY gross to her. When she walked into the party in "Can't Hardly Wait" I was disgusting. In love, but also...disgusting. I apologize.

Then I saw her in "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and I am sad to report that I had a big time fear boner the entire time.

Then when she still knew what I did last summer, I did it again with an even more deprave and disgusting teenage mind

I was disgusting and I apologize.

Then…the granddaddy of them all…"Heartbreakers". I did and thought things so disgusting that I should've sought medical attention. For that, I am sorry

I still have calluses from that movie and I know that is fucking disgusting. I am not even going to talk about the show she had later on that was just her giving happy ending massages with her tits in different outfits. Not going to because that is disgusting and just because her tits are out and the show was literally about sexual experiences that doesn't mean I should sexualize her. Like she said, she worked hard to be a great actress in those roles and it is my fault for being too concerned with her tits. Again, this is my formal apology.
