You Know Baseball Season Is Close When We Have Security Guards Practicing How To Tackle Streakers On The Field
This is how we we know we're close to the start of baseball season. We have videos from reporters in the Dodgers press box of the security guards practicing how to apprehend streakers on the field. You see that? Nature is healing.
We didn't think about the security guards last year, they didn't have a typical year either. They didn't get to knock the absolute snot out of some 22 year-old who is plastered and just got $20 from his buddy to run on the field. I bet the first streaker of the season is going to get demolished. That security guard is going to have flashbacks of high school football Oklahoma drills and he's going to knock the kid's socks off.
You gotta love that they practice this too, you have to. But I think you have to have them practice with a pig or chicken because you can't have a sober person replicate the moves of a drunk streaker. I hope this was kind of just a walkthrough because they can't be jogging out there, gotta go full speed. Regardless it's still Spring Training for the security guards too and they have to get their hacks in too. They're getting ready for Opening Day just like our favorite players. Here is to hoping they get plenty of practice this year and we don't see any security guards pulling a hammy while chasing down Chad.
