We Got A Full-On 'Flair Flop' KO To Kick Off UFC 260

JAMIE MULLARKEY!

What a god damn knockout to kick off the pay-per-view and bring the momentum up after a somewhat lackluster undercard!

Not to say it was all bad, we saw Alonzo Menifield snatch up a Von Preux choke finish, which was pretty crazy, for example….

….but there were just a couple of 'meh' fights that went to decision right beforehand that didn't live up to the craziness of the past few weeks' prelims, and had me thinking we were in for a long night. Maybe I've just been spoiled by how good prelims have been in 2021.

Here we've got Jamie Mullarkey absolutely starching Khama Worthy, who calls himself "The Death Star" (always a bad idea, those always get destroyed, man!), and I feel like it's just the perfect example of finding that "off button" on a person's jaw. Mullarkey just hit him with the perfect shot and his whole body gave out on him. Crazy.

Mullarkey is a teammate of UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski, who was supposed to defend his championship against Brian Ortega on this card before testing positive COVID-19. He credited Volkanovski as a crucial training partner in this camp, and said the champ will get his own moment soon. Always cool to see how tight-knit that gym is.

Still time to tune in folks, we've got a PHENOMENAL heavyweight championship main event ahead of us and the stars are out….
