Sunday Night Sample - Drake - Lemon Pepper Freestyle

Drake dropped a heavily anticipated 3 track EP of new music on Friday, Scary Hours 2, and set the music social channels on fire.

"Lemmon Pepper Freestyle" featuring Rick Ross was the standout track.

Drake and Ricky Rozay have a ton of hit collaborations over the years on their hands- such as 2019’s “Gold Roses” and “Money in the Grave,” Take Care’s “Lord Knows,” “Aston Martin Music,” “I’m On One,” “Stay Schemin,” “Free Spirit,” “Diced Pineapples,” 2013’s “Pop That” and “No New Friends,” “Made Men” and more.

Running at 6 minutes, the song features a ton of innuendo that has the rumor mills on full swirl and rap fans trying to decode hidden meanings.

The song's title is in reference to Rick Ross' very public and well-known obsession with Wing Stop and their Lemmon Pepper wings.

The song was co-produced by Austin Powerz, FnZ, Keanu Beats and Boi-1da and features a soulful sample of Danish duo Quadron's 2010 song, “Pressure.”

ORIGINAL - Quadron - Pressure

But they didn't just use this record. They actually used the live version of it…

This is the kinda shit that blows my mind. This song came out in 2010. It's not like it was a Ricky Martin worldwide international hit. How did one of these co-producers ever hear this live version of this song and think, "I gotta flip this" to himself?
