Kai Kara France KOs Opponent With Beautiful Combo, Immediately Forgets The Fight Is Over(?), And Runs Across The Cage In Attempt To Land A Couple More Shots In Confusion

THIS CARD JUST WON'T STOP WITH THE KNOCKOUTS!!! MY LORD!!!!

Kai Kara France (a teammate of Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya's from City Kickboxing) just introduced Rogério Bontorin's face to the canvas with a beautiful combination in the opening fight of our main prelims tonight, after the early prelims were as good as I've ever seen the first five fights of a card be.

Afterwards, he walked it off Mark Hunt style (as Herb Dean grabbed his waist and called the fight), ran around the cage to celebrate, and then ran back lookin like he had a couple more ground-and-pound shots in mind!!

Bontorin sprung up, clearly confused/offended, and launched his mouthguard at Kara-France, but everyone realized pretty quickly that it was just a case of confusion - and Daniel Cormier couldn't get enough of it on commentary.

I saw some dispute over the stoppage possibly being premature, but I feel like when a guy gets put on his face like THIS....

….he's probably out. I was okay with it.

I also don't think Herb Dean is to blame for any of that confusion….when the ref grabs you with both arms and pulls you away from your opponent - it's over. This is a ref calling a fight if I've ever seen one….

I think Kai Kara France just got a little too excited and confused due to the adrenaline rush or something. No hard meant.
