Udonis Haslem Had The Perfect Take On James Harden Potentially Coming To Miami

If there is anyone on the planet that knows what it takes and what it's like to live in Miami, it's Udonis Haslem. The 40 year old was born there and has spent every single one of his 18 years playing for the Miami Heat. At no point since 2003 has that man ever rocked a different jersey. He's so crucial to what the Heat do that they continue to pay him not to play, but to be a presence. If you want to play for that team you need to fully embrace Heat Culture and nobody embraces it more than Haslem.

It's also pretty well known that Pat Riley is looking at every single scenario to bring in his next white whale. James Harden, Bradley Beal, doesn't matter. Pat Riley wants stars and more often than not he gets what he wants. That's what makes Haslem's quotes in that video so funny. Even he knew you can't bring Harden to South Beach. It's not because they'd have to give up Tyler Herro, but because it very well might have killed Haslem. He's too old to have to deal with that nonsense. For the rest of us, having Harden be able to live with constant access to that nightlife is what NBA Twitter dreams of. It would have been tremendous content right from the jump. How do you think Haslem/Jimmy Butler would have handled Harden going to the club at all hours whenever he felt like it? It's a shame we didn't get it.

I would have loved to see the look on James Harden's face when Haslem tried to be his "OG" and tell him what he could or couldn't do. Do we think Harden takes that lightly? Harden isn't some baby faced rookie or young guy in the league. He's been in the league over a decade, won an MVP, made All NBAs etc.

The best part about this? The Nets are about to play the Heat in a little two game series next week. Something tells me Harden will be motivated for that one and Haslem will get a up close look at what could have been. My guess is Harden drops close to 90 in both games.
