A Bunch Of Rockets Players Including John Wall Are Missing Their Opener Due To Coronavirus Contact Tracing

Giphy Images.

Well, it did not take long for this whole James Harden fiasco to turn into a complete disaster. As I'm sure you read, James Harden had himself a night out at the club the other night. I'll have you know, it was not a strip club, and Harden wants to be very clear about that

Boy is this beautiful. Nothing like denying you were at a strip club while also telling on yourself for breaking the COVID protocols. You see, it's not just strip clubs that are banned, it's ANY indoor bar/lounge/club or social event with more than 15 people that isn't allowed. You honestly can't make this up. Did Harden think this absolved him of any wrongdoing?

Whoops! I don't know how the league doesn't bring the hammer down now that Harden has straight up confirmed and admitted that he broke the rules. To make matters worse, now his entire team is impacted! Already without Boogie and John Wall and possibly others for their season opener, what if they don't have enough available bodies to field a team? What happens then? Do the Rockets forfeit, do they reschedule the game?

Now let's be fair. Based on what Woj is reporting this wasn't Harden related

Harden already had it, but it's still not the best look. The league is still going to have to come down on Harden and the Rockets for what's happening. All I know is this is certainly NOT how you want to start your season if you're the Rockets. They talked about how they were willing to enter the season in an uncomfortable situation with Harden, and it looks like he's taking them up on that challenge.

If I had to guess, Harden gets suspended without pay. Silver will probably make an example of this situation to set a precedent, but something tells me this is not the last time we'll be dealing with this type of drama.

This league man. The NBA always delivers. Greatest league on the planet.
