The Chargers Have One Of The Worst Special Teams Units In The HISTORY Of The NFL

This team has gone from a tolerable embarrassment to the excitement Herbert brought to the team to an intolerable embarrassment over the last few month. Special teams has been the highlight of this masterpiece, which is nothing new to chargers fans.

Emphasis here on 2010, where they had the #1 rated offense AND defense but went 9-7 and missed the playoffs.

As it stands, this will be the worst loss of the season and HOPEFULLY the button on top of this coaching staffs tenure. Look, there is a lot about Anthony Lynn that I really respect. He picked up a shitty situation after Mike McCoy got canned. The whole team was defeated and they were leaving their city to go to one where they aren't even a top-5 favorite team. And was actually pretty exciting at first! He went 9-7 and 12-4 back to back! Everything seemed to be going up, but he fell into the EXACT same coaching pattern that Mike McCoy did.

He fumbled game after game after game, blowing a seemingly inconceivable amount of games in crunch time. Are there moments you can blame it on player error? Sure! When it happens non stop with clock management at the center of it all? That is the coaches fault and nobody else's. He doesn't play the game to win anymore, he plays not to lose. He's lost all aggressive instinct, he doesn't know how to close games and he seemingly never managed a clock in his life. It doesn't matter if he is a nice guy, which by all accounts, he is, because this is un-fixable. FUBAR. Kaput!

Every week for the last two months I was waiting for the alert that he was gone and it never came. I hope to god that this is is the game that ends this chapter in my miserable fandom. Give us an intrim head coach and use every bit of influence and money there is to get Eric Bieniemy on board to fix this ship before the talented roster with the OROY sinks to the bottom of the depths.
