Mother of the Year Nominee In a Bit Of Trouble For Tying Her Son To a Bush While She Went To Work

B911 - A mother is being accused of tying her 4-year-old son to bush while she went to work. The woman told police she had no one to take care of her son while she went to her babysitting job. According to ABC7, the mother, 22, didn’t want to take the boy to the house she works at or let the family she works for know she had her child with her. So she tied the boy to the bush by a leash attached to his backpack at the condo complex. The boy’s ‘monkey’ backpack had a 4-foot long leash.  The boy was not injured and it was unclear how long the woman planned to leave him there. The mother faces a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child. She was arraigned Tuesday afternoon and released on $2,500 bail. The boy was turned over to a relative.

So hard to win these days. We’ve seen so many mothers get arrested for leaving their kids in the car while they go to work/the casino. Babysitters are expensive and sometimes you just need to leave your kid in the mini van. And now this mother has learned from other’s mistakes and tied her kid up outside. Pretty brilliant. Right there in the fresh air, getting that nice summer breeze. But nope, people have to go and call the police on that too. Can’t even tie your kid to a bush anymore without getting arrested, shakin my damn head. The true genius part of this is she tied up her kid while going to take care of someone else’s kid. That cannot go understated. She was like shit, I have to go get paid to take care of someone else’s kid, can’t very well take care of mine at the same time, better tie this asshole to a tree.  Really good vetting process by that family too. They know how to pick a babysitter. It’s like hiring a horse to watch your dog.
