UFC Featherweight Yair Rodriguez Suspended 6 Months For Refusing To Tell Drug Testers His Whereabouts

Well - huh! I guess it coulda been a lot worse?!

UFC President Dana White was being suuuper vague about Yair Rodriguez's future at a recent presser, and the verbiage he used caused major suspicions of a possible USADA issue....

I think most fans probably assumed that the Featherweight Contender had failed a drug test, though - not evaded one (or three).

I reached out to a friend of mine in the UFC to ask about the USADA testing process, and he said that basically, they ask you to update their app once every three months with your most probable whereabouts (home address, gym schedule, etc.), and they'll show up randomly at one of those whereabouts 7-10x per year. If you're not present when they show up, they'll call you and meet you anywhere within 50 miles. Yair never updated his whereabouts on the app and missed three drug tests, and USADA operates on a "three strikes and you're out" policy, so now he'll have to serve a six-month suspension. Only Nick Diaz has received a suspension like this before.

Either he's got something to hide, or he's like that kid who would always show up to school in flannel pajamas and not have their homework done when it was due. You know who I'm talking about. Nobody wants to be that kid.

Gotta get it together Yair! Simple as that. We wanna see you back in that octagon! Just update that app once every three months! You got this buddy!

BONUS: Yair's greatest KO, and what I'd consider the craziest KO in UFC history....
