I Think I Solved What Is Taking Danny Ainge So Long To Finalize The Gordon Hayward Situation

As of the writing of this blog, we still have no fucking idea what is going on with Gordon Hayward/Celts/Hornets. He hasn't signed yet which tells those of us on the outside that maybe there is some sort of S&T in the works. Could be just between the Hornets and Celts, could also have a third team, there are a ton of possibilities. Nobody knows why this is taking so long.....until now. I'm not saying I cracked the case but I feel like I most definitely cracked the case

Think about it. These two have a history on the golf course. Danny was the reason Jordan dropped 63 in that epic playoff game because he took his money on the links. Michael Jordan is the most competitive person on the planet and will be until his last breath. You think he forgot about that despite it being like 30+ years ago? Zero chance. You don't think him challenging Ainge to a quick 18 and if he wins then Jordan will accept a pick to make the Hayward deal a S&T? That is EXACTLY what Michael Jordan would do. Then you factor in that Ainge pushed back all his interviews/press conferences today

and I'm sorry but this has 18 holes written all over it. This is what my Dad does. He has all of his early morning meetings on the golf course. It's a great life if you can get it. I feel like this is way more likely than Ainge was working the phones this morning trying to hammer something out.

Give me one good reason why else this could be taking so long. If MJ wasn't interested in helping Ainge, he wouldn't have to wait. He would just commit to stretching Nic Batum and that would be that. But the fact that we are still waiting tells me that these two are 100000% battling it out on the golf course right now. Could be 18, could be 36, either way for my brain that's the leader in the clubhouse.
