The Los Angeles Lakers Stole Montrezl Harrell From The Clippers

For those keeping track at home: the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers have lost Danny Green, Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard and immediately replaced them with Wes Matthews, Dennis Schröder and the reigning Sixth Man of the Year. Oh yeah, Schröder finished second in that race behind Harrell. Pretty decent offseason thus far for the Lakers. Anthony Davis remains a "free" agent at the moment, but once they lock him up it will be a banner offseason for Rich Paul Rob Pelinka.

Make no bones about it, this is a TERRIBLE look for the Clippers. They spent last Summer plastering billboards all over LA claiming they were taking the city over. Then they go out, blow a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets, got rid of their coach and now lost a key bench player to the dudes they share a building with. That's tough. Certainly not what Kawhi envisioned when he left Toronto and FOR SURE not how Paul George saw things shaking out when he politely asked the Thunder to trade him. And again, last year was very easily the best season in Los Angeles Clippers basketball history. It has been a bleak existence. And now they're back to going full Clippers and losing a key member of their rebirth for not a ton of coin, and on top of that he doesn't even have to change his parking spot. Brutal.

Luckily there's no members of the Los Angeles Clippers who are known to hold grudges or take things extremely personally. Absolutely no one comes to mind who fits that description. Not a soul.
