Great News To Start The Week: McDonalds All Day Breakfast Is Expanding To New Markets
Fortune - McDonald’s MCD -0.09% has announced that it will continue to expand the number of restaurants that serve a limited breakfast menu all day long, according to a report in USA Today. If you live in Mississippi and have trouble making it to the fast-food chain before the standard 10:30 a.m. cut-off time, you’re in luck. The firm has chosen 12 locations in Greenville and Greenwood, Miss., to launch the new menu on June 22. On the menu will be biscuit sandwiches such as the McMuffin, as well as, “hotcakes, sausage burritos, hash browns, Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait, and Fruit & Maple Oatmeal,” according to the report. The move comes after the firm saw success with a similar effort in the San Diego area this spring. Following the trial in Mississippi, McDonald’s will continue to expand the experiment, moving it to locations in the Nashville area starting next month, the report said.

You know how it feels like all we hear is bad news? Shootings and deaths and global warming and DC Sports losing in heartbreaking fashion? Well sometimes it’s just nice to be alive. The sun shines a little brighter, the birds sing a litter louder. And you know what, I’m declaring today one of those days. Sure my brain is working at about 50% capacity, but what else is new? I’ll tell you what else is new, McDonald’s is expanding all day breakfast. As Mr. Stone Cold Steve Austin would say, gimme a Hell Yea! That’s just the happy news I needed to wake up to this morning. All day breakfast crushed in San Diego (shocking, right??) and now they are going to let the fat fucks of Mississippi have a crack at it. Hmmm, I wonder if all day breakfast in Mississippi will do well? Gees. Let’s cross our fingers and toes. And then next month in Nashville…and then you have to assume they will hit a major East Coast market with all day bfast. May I recommend DC? And let me tell you this. Out of pure honesty. I think McD’s breakfast is just okay. The real important thing here is that other places follow suit. Looking at you, ChickFilA. Don’t want to be left behind the curve on something so important. This isn’t a million dollar idea, it’s a billion dollar idea and it should have been done a decade ago. The future is now and McDonald’s is leading the way.
