After I bought a Signed Pic of Sofia Vergara, eBay Started Sending Me "Other Similar Sponsored Items"...
Just the other day I was taking an online survey and one of the questions was "Who is your TV celebrity crush?". Immediately, several came to mind, and I was having a difficult time deciding... Then my wife blurted out "Sofia Vergara!" and the thought of Gloria Delgado-Pritchet immediately brought a smile to my face. Absolutely! Love the smile, the accent, the body, the energy, and Modern Family was one of my favorites. I got to give credit where credit's due, my wife knows what I like.
Later in the day, sensing my wife was okay with my celebrity crush, I mean really, like Sofia Vergara would run off with a 64-year-old plumber, I began shopping eBay for a signed pic of her to add a little spice to my man cave. The pics with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) or Letter of Authenticity (LOA), ranged in price from $24.99 up to as much as $149.99. I settled on the cheaper one. (pictured above)
Then a funny thing happened… eBay started sending me current auctions containing the words "Sofia Vergara" or what they refer to as "Other Similar Sponsored Items". At first, it was mostly other signed pics but then other items related to Sofia began showing up. For $595 and free shipping, I could own Sofia's screen-worn, lace-trimmed, beige-colored bra, and her hot pink cotton panties. The set also includes a signed pic and a COA. I laughed, but I put it in my cart for shits 'n giggles, curious to see if anybody was gonna buy 'em. The next day, the seller sent me a message with a Private Offer, reducing the price by 23% to $495, which was starting to look like a pretty good deal, not that I was in the market for Sofia Vergara's screen-worn underwear, but if I was…
Then eBay started sending me more screen-worn wardrobe items they thought I may like based on the items saved in my cart. For $593.75 plus $6.94 shipping, I could own Jennifer Lopez's screen-worn bra from the movie "Hustlers", complete with wardrobe tag and COA. (She was my number 2 TV celebrity crush; loved her as Detective Harlee Santos in Shades of Blue) Update: Seller just discounted it 25%. The new price is $445.50!
The more screen-worn wardrobe items I opened, the more eBay sent. It's all listed under Entertainment Memorabilia > Movie Memorabilia > Wardrobe > Originals. (in case you're interested…)

Katy Perry's screen-worn bra with COA started with a $359.50 "Buy It Now" and a $6.94 ship, but the seller just discounted it 17%, and now it's available for only $299.75. Do you want a Mila Kunis screen-worn Bustier with COA? Well, the "Buy It Now" on that is $200 with a $9.00 ship. Update: Seller just discounted it 7%. The new price is $185.75. Now that's a deal!
If all I wanted was Sofia Vergara's screen-worn bra, I could own it for a mere $327.50, but wait, the seller just sent me a Special Offer, a 25% discount bringing the price down to only $245.25!
One former Playboy model, Shauna Sand, Miss May 1996, will sell you one of her personally-worn signed bras for $150 with a $7.95 ship, but she just sent me a Special Offer, 20% off. Now the "Buy It Now" price is only $120! If you're more the ensemble type, Shauna's got several autographed two-piece sets for $499.99 each with a $20 ship. At that price, she'll include custom pics and personalize the signature for you.

If you have a shoe fetish and you're into sandals or heels, the bidding starts at $15 for screen-worn offerings with COA's for footwear personally-worn by Kaley Cuoco and Ariana Grande. If you want heels worn by porn stars, that gets a bit more expensive. A pair of Lucite, open-toe spikes screen-worn by former porn star and February 2000 Penthouse Pet of the Month Tera Patrick, with signatures on both, has a "Buy It Now" of $295…
Other screen-worn and personally-worn items on eBay are claimed to have been the property of Kate Upton, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Emma Watson, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, and Gal Gadot, whose navy blue string panties with COA has a "Buy It Now" of $850. Apparently there's a market for celebrity screen-worn wardrobe items and underwear on eBay. Who knew?

One of the most expensive screen-worn wardrobe items I saw was a bikini set worn by Selena Gomez in the 2016 movie Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. The "Buy It Now" is set at $4,999.99, but the seller is accepting offers…
eBay rules require that all pre-owned clothing items be laundered before they're shipped, but I'm not absolutely sure that particular rule is strictly enforced. And that may be just fine with some of the more motivated buyers searching out these items on eBay…
Be careful what you save to your cart. eBay's watching and maybe your wife is too…
