Kanye Got Kim Kardashian A Hologram Of Her Dead Dad (Aka A Ghost) And Made It Say He Is A Genius

First of all, it's the thought that counts with birthday presents a lot of times.  Your girlfriend/wife wants to know that you cared about their birthday, not just that you got something.  We also have to acknowledge that it CANNOT be easy to buy something for your wife who just spent multi-millions of dollars on a trip to French Polynesia with all of her friends to rage on a private island during a Pandemic.  Kim Kardashian is the toughest tier of people to buy presents for in the world.

There, we got that out of the way.  I'll even give him the fact that they've been married for a little while now and he's probably used up most of his best ideas for gifts, so with that being said, big time players make big time plays and you gotta go for it!  You never want to hate on creativity because the alternative is just getting flowers and a nice dinner, which would definitely not be enough for Kim Kardashian, so he had to do SOMETHING.  All that being said, there's no way to bring back a dead person in hologram form, the week of Halloween no less, without it feeling extremely "ghosty".  I mean there's a chance it was the scariest thing that's ever happened to Kim K and she has nightmares for the next month.  Holograms are definitely interesting, but I don't know how I'd feel about someone I know being "alive" again that was dead before.  No matter what, Kim's dead father coming back to life was NOT the highlight of the video.

As I was watching this creation, I was mildly creeped out/very intrigued, until I heard THIS moment...

"You married the most genius man" is just an UNREAL thing for Hologram Robert Kardashian to spout off in the middle of a monologue from heaven, a monologue that was written by the guy he's giving props to.  Now I'm not going to take issue with the fact that Robert Kardashian died in 2003, and likely never knew much of Kanye West when he was still just a rapper from Chicago, I think you're allowed to get creative with the timelines in the hologram game.   The real issue is that Kim K definitely is aware of when her moment is being stolen from her.  Imagine bringing back your wife's dead father just to make him say how great you are, that is the type of thing that backfires in an argument down the road.  Its just RIPE to be brought back up in a tough spot.  It would be like Drake bringing back Tupac in a hologram just to have Pac say that Drake is his new favorite rapper.  I have a feeling that would be frowned upon!

Now Kanye has always had a ton of sarcasm and humor in his raps and interviews, so I could 100% see this being self-aware.  There's definitely a chance he wanted to acknowledge how ridiculous the situation was and made it funny for a second.  Kind of a hologram monologue version of the "I miss the old Kanye" skit.  This is the same dude who brought you the purposefully cheesy Bound 2 video.

So who really knows.  Kanye has been all over the place spreading his gospel lately and I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the last hologram we see in the next few years.
