The Spaniard, who was born in Mallorca, swapped his tennis rackets and balls for golf clubs and balls as he competed in the Balearic Golf Championship less than two weeks after winning at Roland Garros.

Playing against 59 other golfers, most of whom were professional players, the 34-year-old Nadal finished nine over par after a final round 77, meaning he was tied for sixth position. The Mallorcan finished 10 shots behind eventual winner Sebastian Garcia, who finished one under par to take home the title.

Nadal reportedly has a handicap of + 0.3 and has competed in the Balearic Golf Championship previously.

In case you were unaware, Rafael Nadal is awesome at pretty much anything he tries his hand in. The man who hails from Spain recently captured his record-tying 20th tennis grand slam title by winning his 13th French Open. Absolutely preposterous, no other way to describe it. He also just set the record for most consecutive weeks in the top 10 of the world rankings with 788.

With some time off until the ATP Finals, Rafa entered a professional golf tournament for shits and gigs. Nothing better to do during the pandemic, might as well play some golf. He finished in 6th place. Most of the field was comprised of professional golfers and Nadal went toe to toe with them in his spare time. Not too bad huh? Nadal and Tiger Woods are known to be great friends, with Eldrick frequently showing up in Flushing for the US Open to cheer on his boy. Man would I love to see those two, Phil and Federer go at it for one of those 2v2 celebrity matches. Nadal is known for his weird superstitions on a tennis court like picking his butt before his serve, pushing back his hair to perfection, or lining up his water bottles exactly next to each other in between change overs. I gotta wonder what shit this dude pulls on the links.

Here's a video of a few of his shots from the tournament. Pretty weird back swing huh? Tough to question a dude who has a 0.3 handicap, but that's got some serious Riggs action to it.

From what I gather this course was made of grass. That's a clear disadvantage for Nadal who has "only" won 2 Wimbledon titles in his life. Let's see what these pro golfers can do on a clay golf course. I'm guessing Nadal shoots 20 under par while everyone else shoots 80 for higher. If you're a golfer and don't accept to these terms you are branding yourself a coward and nothing less.
