Celebrate The Anniversary Of Marshawn Stealing The Injury Cart At Cal By Watching Him Break Down The Moment In Perfect, Glorious Detail

14 years ago we had one of the most important moments in football, Internet and American history. Marshawn Lynch stole the injury cart at Cal and performed an all-time video. What makes it perfect was the timing. 2006 wasn't Internet 1.0, but it's not the Internet as we know it. Seeing this live was like a minor miracle. Then it spread. Everyone heard about Marshawn stealing the cart. Back before Twitter. Back before 24/7 news. It was just Facebook with college e-mail addresses and AIM. Some would say the glory days and it's still crazy how I explain to people Facebook used to be fun. You actually met people with Facebook. The moment you got the .edu e-mail address, you ran to the computer, hit pause on the Limewire porn and signed up for Facebook.

I digress though. This is about Marshawn explaining the moment in glorious, perfect detail

There's nothing like hearing behind the scenes details of the biggest moments in sports. Run for 150 yards? Beat Washington? Run for the game-winning touchdown in overtime? You steal an injury cart. Who hasn't had the dream of playing Mario Kart and ghost riding the whip? Because for roughly 2 decades I've had that dream. I'm just not cool enough to pull it off like Marshawn.

Hit the tape!

PS: Marshawn wearing 10 is a bit of a mindfuck. Clem has talked about fast numbers on running backs before and him wearing 24 was perfect. 24 isn't fast, but you are a monster if you wear 24. It's the combo of speed and power. 10? 10 feels like a scatback number for a running back. Someone with a bunch of catches and runs in on 3rd down.
