Kyle Chandler And Jason Momoa Are Teaming Up For A New Netflix Movie

Kyle Chandler is set to join the cast of the Netflix pic Slumberland with Francis Lawrence directing. Chernin Entertainment is producing with Jason Momoa, Chris O’Dowd and Marlow Barkley also on board to star.

While the film is taking influences from Windsor McCay’s Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland, plot details are being kept under wraps.

Here is a quick synopsis of Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland:

There was also a 1989 Japanese animated film starring Mickey Rooney as well:

So I'll have to confirm with the Chernin boys, but it looks like this is going to be Kyle Chandler and Jason Momoa galavanting around a dreamscape which sounds cool as all hell. Think 'Inception', 'The Wizard of Oz' and more. CGI has advanced to the point where they can get into the weeds of some pretty fantastical stuff, but I hope that they keep as much of it as practical as possible. 2 of both these dudes recent projects, 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' and 'Aquaman' are a good example of how relying on big budget CGI instead of making a comprehensive movie.

Side note, I'm a big Chris O'Dowd guy. What a charming accent and delivery he has!

Director Francis Lawrence is behind 'I Am Legend', The Hunger Games movies and 'Water for Elephants'.
